Including Excel drivers/coms/dll with C# service


hi all

the break down have c# program extracts data excel file. excel file being generated website (can't change this) leading fact though extension .xls technically web page. :( created work around saves excel file again .xls , works great. in production environment not have microsoft excel installed (can't install it). part of saving file again fails. tried not treating file excel html in ole db connection string couldn't process work either. primary interop assemblies assumed install needed drivers won't install unless excel installed? @ least message keep getting. there way of including needed excel stuff in c# service?

there ace oledb provider can install microsoft allows connect excel file similar sqlconnection.

the whole saving, , "its not excel file until save again" thing makes me wonder, getting csv output? html source of page like? parse through? sure need excel, , not tab or comma delimited files?
