SharePoint Hosted App - Visual Studio Workflow - Send email to a SP Group


in sharepoint hosted app, workflow attached list send email users/ad groups in sharepoint group? if yes, should loop through users , users within ad group , send email individually users? or, can send 1 email sp group , users receive it?

per knowledge, not send email users directly in sharepoint group, should loop through users in group, send email individually users.
