RIA Services vs Workflow


ria services provides powerful solutions developing business applications.  highlight ability handle both server , client side validations.

we have been given workflow tools that also offer powerful solutions developing business applications.  doesn't seem best of both worlds...  can have application follows workflow but provides ria validation.

it seem if want use cud methods of ria in workflowservice lose validation.

the trade-offs...

unless i'm missing something...  seems if use workflowservices (.xamlx) then cannot use goodness of ria services (.metadata|.shared.cs).

are these technologies compatible??  either, or?

has been able use domain services in context of workflowservices without losing goodness ria services??

i have not seen ria services/workflow integration going on. have a workflow service being called domainservice not aware of examples out there.
