FAQ: Cloudyn Data Refresh Timelines


cloudyn data refresh timelines:

  • initial: it can take 24 hours see cost data in cloudyn after setup. can take 10 days cloudyn to collect enough data to display sizing recommendations.
  • daily: 10th end of each month, cloudyn should show data date previous day after utc+3 next day.
  • monthly: 1st 10th of each month, cloudyn may not show the finalized data end of previous month.
  • in general: please wait 72 hours data to propagate azure cloudyn before reporting a delay. 

details:
default, cloudyn processes data previous day once full data previous day available. so, previous day's data available in cloudyn utc+3 each day, although data (like tags) can take addition 24 hours reprocess after new data reaches cloudyn. also, @ beginning of every month, when providers finalize billing previous month, data current month not available collection cloudyn. can take between 5 10 days @ start of each month previous month's data become available cloudyn again. during time may see amortized costs previous month , other costs pushed via api, not see daily billing or usage data. once data available again, cloudyn reprocess retroactively, see full month’s worth of data again starting sometime between 5th , 10th of each month.

please note:
as azure accounts discovered cloudyn, cost data immediately provided in cost based reports both "activated" , "un-activated" accounts. however, in order cloudyn provide usage , performance data cost data, need register azure resource manager (arm) credentials activate account following instructions in video at: https://support.cloudyn.com/hc/en-us/articles/212784085-adding-azure-resource-manager

delays:
in event there longer expected delay data populating azure cloudyn, azure data still recorded in azure and will be transferred into cloudyn via api along following day's data once connection restored.





is there way tell cloudyn new inventory of azure environment? (so manual start of inventory)

have adjusted sizings several vm's yesterday isn't showing in cost-effective sizing recommendations.
