Error setting up a new Power BI output or refreshing an existing Power BI output


there a known issue setting or refreshing power bi output customers corp-sts , either using ie protected mode.

symptoms:

on ie see pop-up window hanging , wizard show error “the authorization interrupted.”.

workaround:

  1. use different browser such chrome or firefox.
  2. temporary following on ie:
    1. press alt+t show tools menu
    2. click "internet options"
    3. select "security" tab
    4. select “internet” zone
    5. uncheck "enable protected mode"
    6. close ie tabs , windows , re-open.

chrome fixed - continue work on ie.

removed chrome above list.

update 8/11/2015 11:16pm pst:

we have deployed fix earlier today.

this issue resolved.



the fix has been deployed production, workaround no longer necessary.
