The Skype for Business 2016 client is breaking a couple of controls included in the Lync SDK


we have application embedded several lync sdk controls years ago 2010 sdk.  our app crashing when sfb 2016 client installed.  the lync sdk controls throwing microsoft.lync.model.invalidstateexception either on application startup if sfb client running, or right after sfb started.

switching out dlls use 2013 sdk did not solve problem.

the controls having problems are mynotebox and contactlist.  the presenceindicator, mypresencechooser, contactsearchinputbox and contactsearchresultlist not seem have problems operating against 2016.

as control embedded our wpf app via xaml can't see way catch exception.

i working on opening support case, didn't know if known issue or if there other troubleshooting can do.

there seems bug when trying enumerate frequentcontacts group contactmanager. doing throws invalidstateexception. issue came latest update kb3085581 sfb 2013

i'm not using lync sdk controls, suppose contactlist control call method, too.

removing kb3085581 resolves issue.

How to Share webservice object to all user

Catalog Staging

when staging catalog there interruption in availability of catalog on target server?   i see reference in documentation under synchronizing web farms says: "you should synchronize web farm during off-peak hours minimize disruption in run-time operations." i don't see explanation of these disruptions or types of staging apply to. if have thousand skus need staged or more import apis don't have throttling feature blast database doing crud operations.   so means should perform staging off-peak hours don't tax database.   -max Commerce Server  >  Commerce Server 2007
