Sincing new Outlook.com email to Aol email


i having issue sincing aol email account outlook.com email (please note talking outlook.com not outlook email part of microsoft office).

the problem password aol email found in options @ outlook.com is not correct , not password i entered when setting sinc. have attempted numerous times change pw correct 1 , save it.  not save , reverts wrong pw.  interestingly while outlook trying connect aol right after insert correct pw, receive aol emails @ outlook.com.  after short period of time notice 2 accounts won't sinc. when check pw outlook has on record, wrong pw--not the corrected , saved one.  in addition, i am able send emails outlook.com using aol user name--the issue cannot receive emails.

i pretty sure problem password, outlook not allow me change it/enter correct pw.  help?
